Default Towards the sky .....

This is the shot i have taken and to share with all of you and to get some critics as to how could I have improved this shot.

One thing which i feel is that as I don't have a UV/Density filter there is too much of light....This was shot in the afternoon with default Kit lens.
And the composition in not that good too as you can see some white shade on the left side.

I'm not sure a UV filter would have helped you much here, but then again I rarely use them. A GND would have helped you out with that area on the left, but might have left some other areas underexposed.

Compositionally, I think this is kind of cool. Lighting can be a tricky thing. Sometimes just coming back to the same location and taking the shot at a different time can make a huge difference. Thanks for posting, and keep shooting!

Good shot, I like the unusual perspective. I don't think a UV filter would have helped, since I don't think haze is the problem. Like EOBeav was alluding to, taking this shot closer to sunrise/sunset will reduce the harsh lighting of the afternoon and you will have less dynamic range to contend with (less chance of a blown out sky). A circular polarizer might help bring out some of the colors, depending on the angle relative to the sun. I don't see any problem with the composition.

What aspect are you wanting to know about this? I agree with EOBeav regarding the ND grad filter, but I'm a bit lost as to what you were intending to show with this picture? If you're looking to show the magesty of the tree, I would suggest a square crop, losing the whole left side of this picture. That may seem a little extreme, but I think the right hand side is much stronger.
