Default Trail Ridge Pano (1st Attempt)

Here is my 1st attempt at a pano and unfortunately, mid-day lighting. Does the exposure work. What could be done differently? When scaling this down it really seems to loose any impact that the pano might of had. Are there any suggestions on aspect ratio etc.?

Camera: NIKON D5000
Focal length: 55*mm
Aperture: F29
Exposure time: 1/40"
ISO speed rating: 200/24°
Used Tripod

The picture on Flickr is really too small to see properly, but it seems a little over exposed.

Not really sure about panoramas, my camera can do them, and I've taken a few, but I don't like them much. I'm guessing the same rules of composition apply..

I would suggest that because the shot is so wide, You need a stronger foreground element, something to lead into the photo and perhaps a stronger subject.

To echo what Jon said, you have a nice scene there, but there is no distinctive feature of the panorama that attracts the eye to act as a focal point.

I agree, I just wanted to give pano a try. It's rather barren at that location as it is above the tree line. I will see if I can find something a bit more interesting to try this again. Thanks.
