Default Too many distractions?

Is there too many distractions? I liked the ways the blues turned out, but not sure if it needs some editing.

Yea it is quite a busy photo. the thing on the bottom left is most distracting, though i dont really know what i should be looking at in the first place. the buildings are cool, as are the clouds and the reflections, but i am unsure what you were trying to make the focal point.

I think if you had moved to the right (if possible) a little bit more it would have been better. You could have had the entire boat in the picture and eliminated the pole at the lower left. The entire boat could have given the picture a focal point with the city as the background.

LoL.. I'm feeling the opposite.. Moving forward and to the left, so you lose the pole and the boat, and concentrate on the reflections..

To the right to the left I'm dizzy!!!!LOL

Think about what attracted you to stop and take the shot, stop, think about it, compose, recompose, remove the clutter, and take the shot. What I'm really saying is take your time, don't rush it.

For me I have to leave my wife home.

Nice work keep it up.

Pay attention to your instincts. If you are asking the question of is the photo is too busy that is your answer.

lol. One more vote to move the camera to the left, as I don't consider the boat the subject. I consider the skyline the subject. Get rid of all the distracting elements like the boat and object in the lower left and you've got a nice shot. Only include foreground objects if they add interest or lead the viewer's eye toward your subject. Also, I would try shooting this around sunset and once it gets dark for different perspectives. Keep shooting!

very well exposed shot!

the conflict i see here is to have the skyline only or have a foreground element, am i right?

i would get more depth and frame accordingly with that concept...
and as per your frame i'd try different light; i second Krusty's suggestion of shooting at dusk.

all the best.

I'm also for moving to the left to avoid both the post in the lower left and the boat, and leave only the diagonal reflections. As for this shot, I find the post to be very distracting, maybe you can clone it out if you can't go back to this place.
