Default Bridge over Hyalite Creek

This is only my second post on here. I'm loving all the information available. I've learned a lot in a short amount of time! Hyalite use to be one of my favorite places to go when I still lived in Montana. My questions for this shot are composition and exposure. I personally enjoy the composition but am still new to this. I feel it is a little too dark, but my loving, biased husband says no. Help?

I guess it's all relative to what you were trying to say with the photo. It looks just a bit dark to me but it also conveys a more solemn mood that way. I don't much care for the darkening in the upper corner as it makes me think my eyes are not focusing or adjusting right or a bit like it was taken at night with a spotlight...but then again it also conveys a mood.

So it really falls to what you as the artist would like. Hope that helps!

I actually I think i would play a little with the cropping maybe try and crop some of the bottom out and then maybe play with the light levels a little to brighten the midtones. I like the dark areas in the corners.

I agree with the idea of cropping the bottom. If you remove the concrete area, it removes the start of the bridge and makes it seem that you are standing on the bridge.

+1 on the dark edges, it made me focus more on the centre of the picture, where the path turns.
