You should really only post one picture.
That being said, I like #2 a lot more for many reasons. landscapes naturally (almost always) look better in landscape In #1, the top of the sky looks a normal greyish colour, so it takes away some of the mood The posts in 2 make great lines leading straight to the horizon

And I kina like both of them. But the second one a little bit more.
Portrait format for landscapes isn't always a bad thing. And here the poles on the left are a great feature. And the ground section takes just a little too much space IMHO. I would love more sky here. And the second one just gets rid of all the problems of the first one and adds a few great leading lines closing the photograph from the other side. And there is more of the sky. Conclusion: sometimes portrait format is better for landscapes, but not this time ![]() All the best |
