Default Winter Wonderland

The first image is the original and the second one is the processed one.
Please share your thoughts on the processed image.
- Did I went too far with the color change?
- Does the crop made the image better?
Thanks

Since this is not heavily processed I didn't add it to the Processed Section

Hi there -

The second one is overdone, IMHO. The snow looks too blue.

As far as the composition, it's somewhat difficult for me to determine what the intended subject is.

I took a look at your website, and you've got some really nice looking pictures up there! I especially like some of the landscape shots, such as the one with the silhouetted flowers, the sunrise(set), and the mountains.

I think the rest of the shots that you have on your website are better than this one.

Just my $0.02

I think you need to go half way between the two.. Snow and Ice is naturally blue, so the shadow areas will have some blue, the first one doesn't reflect this, the second goes too far.

The crop improves things.

My plan is to use shape, texture and color to improve the photo.

1) Crop & remove color cast.
2) Create two layer masks (house & snow)
- snow (slight blur to smooth)
- house (increase contrast)
3) Another layer mask for the blue sky.
