Default Watermill Reflection

IMG_9362

Exif data

Camera Canon EOS 1000D
Exposure 0.002 sec (1/640)
Aperture f/4.0
Focal Length 24 mm
ISO Speed 100
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash Off, Did not fire

A picture I took on my last vacation touring Java. Taken during sunset on a fishing pond.
I would like your opinion about the strength of the subject (which is those tiny watermills) and the B&W processing. Any other c&c would also be much appreciated. Thx

I agree.. Can't see the photo for the shadows.

Here's the original raw from the camera. I was thinking of a silhouette look when I shot this.

Should I have taken it from a higher angle maybe?so that the reflection of the trees doesn't fall on the watermill? Or are there just too many elements in the photo that makes the photo too dark?
