Default Frozen river

I shot this one this morning of the Kansas River. I'm in the process of getting a new camera but I didn't want to miss this opportunity. I know it's a little grainy, there's not much I can do with that, but I'm wondering if it's too dark. Is there anything I could do to improve it?

It's all about the light, and unfortunately your light here isn't very good. Try returning here just at sunrise, or at sunset, with some nice clouds overhead and see what you get.
