Default Leaving NYC

City Lights

What do you think? This is the first time I've really worked with layering (using GIMP). Do you think the layers are clear enough and that the photo is put together well? Thanks!

I think that without the title I might have needed to study it a bit to find the city in there.

I'm with Sterling.. Your layers that aren't the city are not opaque enough.. Leaves you with a bit of a hard job trying to work out what the photo is about.. A little more opacity in the upper layers and you'd have a nice composition there.. I'd never really thought about using lens flare to add interest.

A photo needs to start and finish in your imagination, if it passes through your camera in between, that's cool, if it doesn't, that's cool also.
