Default Tree at the top of the hill

New to photography and wanted some critique on this shot.
Is the photo appealing?
What would you rate it out of 10?
Anything I can improve on?

Hello, Ravi -

I think you did a nice job with the comp and the processing. If that's the style you were going for, then well done.

My personal taste is a bit different, though. I'd rather not see an all-white sky and the grass is a bit too green and processed for my liking. But, that's just me. If you like it, that's what matters most.

Also, it's hard to tell on my monitor, but the tree doesn't look as sharp as the grass. Are my eyes deceiving me, or was that something you did in post or with the camera (maybe by picking a focus point near the camera)?

Good work.

I agree that this is over processed but the composition is ok. Blown out sky, too dark grass don't appeal to me. Aperture for landscapes usually is f8 or larger to get good depth of field (area of focus). Lightened up, might make a good black and white image.
