Default Sunset lake

I took this one in Queenstown NZ near sunshine. I should'v waited for a bit more because i don't think the sunset light is as golden as I expected what do you think?

ISO200, 1/60s, F6.3

I increased the temp a bit to make it a bit more golden but do you think it looks natural? Do you think the angle from which shooting the lake hut is good?

thank you all

I think it looks natural enough, but it's hard to overcome that blown-out sky which is also blowing out the reflection on the side of the building. I would have strongly recommended taking the shot about an hour or so later when the sky is not so bright and you have some sunset colors in the sky. A graduated neutral density filter would have helped reduce the brightness of the sky relative to the rest of the shot. As far as the composition goes, I would recommend moving to the left so that you can use the line of the pier to lead into the water and sunset.

I should wait for the real sunset to come next time. The reason is that this pic is a complete accident. I took it coz of the still lake and the pier i didn't even pay attention to the sunset.

I do agree.

Do you mean moving the camera to the left or moving the pier more to the left side of the image?

Thank you Krusty for your in-depth critique!! It helps a lot

Think this would be a wonderful picture if taken just after sunset. Just think it would have been stunning. Love the composition. Just needs the right light.

You're welcome. I know it is not always convenient to take shots at sunset when you are traveling. When I made the comment about moving the the left, I meant moving yourself and camera to the left a bit to try to use the pier to lead the viewer's eye into the shot.
