Default boat under sun

Hello,

I took this snap on a very bright sunny day. Since the sun was directly infront of me ..i had to use hight shutter speed and decrease the aperture size to reduce the light that enters the light...i did not have much time to frame both the boat and sun as boat was moving and if i had delayed by 1 or 2 seconds ...i would have missed the chance of shooting this snap....intentionally i took 2-3s stop low exposure(did not remember exactly) shot to get the rays around the sun....i did not do any postprocessing apart from litttle cropping...

Just let me know your feed back whether the color combination, composition and any ideas how i could have taken even better ...

The sunrays do look nice. However, I think the the rest of the photo is underexposed. If you cover up everything but the boat you'd have a tough time convincing someone that it was a bright sunny day. The boat is so dark that a better case could be made that it was taken under moonlight. Also, the horizon is quite crooked.
