Default Sunset from Battery Park_NYC

Greetings,
I would like some critique on my recent pictures from NYC. Thanks!

Body: Canon EOS DIGITAL Rebel XSi
Lens: 24-70mm, f/2.8
Exposure: 1/80
Focal Length: 38mm
Aperture: f/8.0
ISO: 100

1) I've enhanced the image contrast, clarity, vibrance, sharpness in lightroom. I like the texture of the cloud and the colors of this image, but i wondered did i over touch-up the pics?

2) How's the composition of this image? fulfilled the art of composition and rule of third?

3) Any comments is welcomed so that i can learn :-)

I have two similar pics with different composition for comparison:
3301
3330

I'm not pro, but I love photography! :-) Thanks!

The embedded pic - I like the colors and pp work. I would definitely crop so that you take a good chunk off the left and bottom - yes your rule of thirds is there for the boat, but to me what supercedes that is the sun - that is dead centre and the focal point, and the horizon is dead centre too.

WRT pic 3330 that you have linked - the skew horizon is noticable and detracts from the image.

Nice shots though and nice colour!

Love the colors here and the subject... however I think you could achieve more by cropping such that the horizon is not dead center.

Thanks for the feedback and comments. I actually took many of them, but out of them i picked these three pics, maybe I need to review my other sunset shots again, and see if i make the same mistake on those pics.

I will work on it next time. Thanks for the inputs.
