Default Tower Bridge by Night - How can i improve?

A photo of Tower Bridge taken at night on Friday 24 Dec.

Would appreciate some comments regarding picture quality, composition and exposure

was this taken last year, because its not friday for another 2.5 hours in the uk

I think you're on to a good thing here, maybe aim up a little further, the tight crop on the top feels a little uncomfortable, also have a little play with your aperture, opening up a little will shorten your exposure and reduce the starbursts around all of the lights. It also has the nock on effect of lowering your exposure time and reducing the chance of bumping the camera, and reducing exposure noise.

Since the play between shadows and highlights is so extreme, I might have opted to convert it to b/w for more drama... somehow the little spots of color seem to fight with the subject a bit--the majestic nature of the bridge itself. Just two cents. Otherwise, nice shot!
