Default The Stretch!

gmill-pipes-3 by Big Iron13, on Flickr

I think I'm getting over the learning curve for an UWA. I get what people mean by using the distortion to my advantage and I want to be sure it's getting the effect I want.

There was some bulging I corrected for but I'm looking at the stretch. A lot of things that are right angles are not right angles anymore and there's pretty much nothing I can do with it. That sort of makes this a little more abstract and gives you the sense of madness instead of showing it. At least that's what I think it does, I don't really know, hence asking you.

Does the stretching work for this pic? When I shoot it's 75% documentary, 25% art; this is upping the art bit for me by a little bit.

It's another one of your images that is incredibly powerful! I love the lines, the stretch -- and yes, it does have impact as art as well as documentary. You are compiling a great series!
