I would like to know what I can do to improve this photo.

Here is the file info:

Canon 50D
Shutter:1/40
F Stop: f6.3
iso: 100
Focal Length: 50mm

I cropped, adjusted levels, converted to B&W and dodged and burned.

All I might suggest is to increase the contrast a little more so that the things that are supposed to be sharp look a little more cut.

Otherwise I like it. It's really neat!

Have you thought about cropping the dog out in the foreground? I found that the architecture and the repeating pillars led my eyes deeper into the photo, but found the dog distracting.
