Smile Colors?

I need to know what you guys think of this photo. Is it too dark? Too much black? Thanks

I think it would work better with a crop to get the horizon further up or down in the image...it's a little centered. I also think I'd try, if possible, to bring back some of that black, or crop more of it out

I believe the issue is that there is no compelling subject in the shot that draws my eye. The sunset colors are kind of muted, so I think there is too much "plain" sky. You can crop some of the sky to emphasize the figures and wave on the beach. However, if it was a colorful sunset, I would not want to crop the sky and you would have a more compelling subject.

I think it makes for a very nice photograph, serene. If it were me photographing it i would have used a ND filter to slow down shutter speed and help the water convey the same feel as the sky.

Not too dark- the exposure is pretty much right on. I'd probably want to see it cropped a bit in order to help give it more balance and a pleasing dynamic.

Nice job!
