I went walking the dog today and grabbed the tripod and the camera to go to the local stream.
I am looking to feedback about the whole subject filling the frame and does the scene lead the eye well from top to bottom? Secondly, how can I make it feel warmer? I tried with combining yellow and purple hue layers but it kind of blands away the contrast ![]() Of course any other feedback is more than welcome! EXIF: Camera Nikon D80 Exposure 3 Aperture f/32.0 Focal Length 50 mm ISO Speed 100 Exposure Bias 0 EV Flash No Flash F/32 because I don't have a ND filter yet ![]() Thank you for your time!

It does lead my eye from top to bottom but I think I'd prefer it if the camera was further back with perhaps about half as much steam in the shot.
Maybe a lower angle too so an element of the forest/wood was in the backround. Kain

I find my eye going to the branches that are in focus and staying there. Unfortunately, there is no flow upstream or downstream for me. I think you need some rocks in the stream to give the eye more to focus on. I think that in general, it is easier to lead the viewer's eye up the stream instead of down in these type of shots because it is easier to see the water coming down towards you instead of away from you. The shot has enough warmth for me - I don't think that's an issue.

Get lower, and shoot it more straight on and I think you would have a more effective shot. Also, did you use a polarizer on this?

Thank you both for your feedback.
I shot from this angle for several reasons. 1) The stream is really shallow and this was the best view I could get for it. 2) The dog was jumping all over me so I couldn't get in the water to get a better view with the tripod - note to self: Don't take the dog with you! :P 3) Here the tripod was set to its lowest height - approx 40 cm I didn't use a polarising filter but it was an overcast day and in deep forest so maybe that is why there aren't any reflections on the water. The stream was really shallow also. Thanks!
