rule of the thirds backwards

I've read critique about people not using the rule of the thirds ... but what about using it backwards ... I mean how about using it 2/3 sky 1/3 landscape? is this the same thing or is just something not recommended by the rule itself?
I've posted a picture to exemplify myself and to attract constructive critique about composition and colors

It's the same thing.

The rule of thirds describes creating a grid 1/3 from the top and bottom, left and right, so your frame has a big tic-tac-toe grid and you put the subject on one of the lines. You've done that here, putting the horizon line on the bottom 1/3 line to show more sky, which is fine if the sky is more interesting than the ground.

The lines and the silhouette are nice. I'd level out the horizon, since it seems to slant up going from left to right. You might be able to punch up the color in the sky a bit.

Thanks for the answer! Unfortunately I've uploaded the photo from facebook which shrinks and slightly disrupts it. The color in the real photo are a bit "punchier". Anyway ... as regards the punchlines of the color I'm always afraid not to over do it, as I tend to enjoy stronger photos.

As IABoomer stated, it doesn't matter. It's not called the "rule of thirds from the top." The rule refers to 1/3 sections of the frame no matter whether they are on the top, bottom, left, or right.
