Default Abandoned Tracks

Hey Guys

I know it's not strictly a cityscape, but there doesn't seem a category of such urban shots, so it goes here... feel free to move it if necessary mods.

So, here's my first photo to get critique of, it's a photo of a an abandoned train station in Italy, processed in Lightroom to B&W and added grain

I'd like to know what 'works' in the photo, and why they do; and conversely, what 'doesn't work' and could be improved, and how?

Thanks

just my opinion, so take it for what you are paying for it....{wink}

My eyes are all over. I am not finding a subject to rest on. The window on the left is distracting.

With that said, I think you have a bunch of possibilities here.

IF you can reshoot, first thing I would go for is the white graffiti. Maybe shoot a little lower, with the graffiti in the lower 1/3. Making sure to use the corner in the back for a little accent.

Second possibility might be whatever is on the left bench. Use that with the rule of thirds and see what you could get in the back.

You also have the bench and the wood on the wall.

I think all of the shots I mentioned would look great with the processing you have done. The PP adds to the feel and looks pretty good for the most part.

Just my 2c's

Keep up the work and look forward to seeing more.

As you can tell by my post count I'm a newbie, so my opinion doesn't carry much weight. The only thing I didn't like was the monitor (or whatever it is) top center of the shot. Other than that I really liked it. Great work.
