My very first attempt at HDR. Taken at Red Rock Canyon as the sun went behind the mountain. I used HDRpad to merge the pictures and made slight edits to color temp, brightness, contrast and saturation.
![]() You can see the 3 original images along with a black and white edit at http://www.flickr.com/photos/tylerno...7625431252167/ Camera Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS Exposure 0.004 sec (1/250) Aperture f/4.5 Focal Length 36 mm ISO Speed 100 Exposure Bias 0 EV Flash Off, Did not fire other 2 pictures were identical except exposure bias +2 and -2 I guess my question is does the image look over processed? what would you have done differently? If you're posting in the Critique section, you should also post your EXIF data and the moderators will want you to ask for feedback on specific aspects of your shot. If you are not looking for a critique, then the SYS forum would be more appropriate.

Well, I'm no HDR expert, but the image does not look over processed to me. I could not even tell it was HDR. Actually, the colors look a bit flat to me. You could try setting the black, white and grey points in your Levels screen to see if you can give the colors more "pop." The main suggestion I would have is to take the shot a few minutes later, when the pinkish colors in the clouds appear. That would give you a more compelling subject for this shot.
