Default Just for the color

Just for the color

A streetlight taken at dusk just for the color. I am afraid it is too dark.

It is too dark. And there's a tree in front of your subject.

For something like this, fill the frame as much as you can with your subject and only keep the branches that have light bouncing off them.

The trees were intended to add some drama , but I guess it provided clutter. Thanks, curelightwounds. Been reading your critiques and I find them straight to the point and very helpful. I will try to do better next time.

Good thought. It would have worked except for that one branch totally cutting through your subject. Never obstruct your subject, it just makes the image confusing.

I try to be concise when asked for criticism. It's easy because the person comes knowing or at least thinking ahead of time that there's something off about what they're showing you. So one doesn't need to keep the kid gloves on. "X, Y, Z are off. Here's how you might fix them."

If someone just wanted compliments then they should stick to the sharing forum.

But yeah, if someone wants help. I'll do what I can to be as constructive as possible.
