Fijifilm finepix S1000 shutter speed 1/90s flash didnt go off
So this photo i took when the moon was out, it was so beautiful outside! But it really does have a lot of editing done and i just didnt love it like I thought i would! Is it trash? Or what other things could i have done to make this picture better??

The composition is all wonky. Too much sky. Moon is awkwardly placed. I'd put it back in color. There's subtle color in the night sky that might make this a little more interesting.

The tough part about photographing the moon (something I don't do very well, btw) is that you need to be able to show enough detail in it for people to recognize it as the moon. As it is, it just looks like a white blob out, there, and I wouldn't know it was the moon if you hadn't told me. The photograph needs to do the speaking for itself.

There's certainly nothing wrong with having an idea, taking a chance, then having to trash it afterward. We've certainly all been there. It's a great way to learn your camera.

I would like to see it pre-editing. As it is I agree, over-edited. I'd crop to bring it out of the center of the frame. But the moon by itself, isn't it kind of done? Just thoughts.

You're going to have to bring something new to the table if you're taking a picture of the moon. We all know what it looks like; you'll need to do something awesome with it to justify taking it.

There are things every shutterbug likes to shoot and the moon is one of them. It is also a good exercise to help gain a better understanding of the exposure triangle. However, once ya finally get it down, then....... it's done. Unless it is being used to augment some other subject.
