Default The arc de Triomphe...Triumphal Arch...

Hi all, here is other pic, now with color selection.
The Arc de Triomphe, (Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile), is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle, (originally named Place de l'Étoile), at the western end of the Champs-Élysées.[1] There is a smaller arch, the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, which stands west of the Louvre. The Arc de Triomphe, (in English: "Triumphal Arch"), honors those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. Underneath its vault lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I.

Can you please critic composition and post production?

Thanks Art

Ok.

1) The Arc angle is fine, it gives a lot of shadows and contrast which are cool
2) The vertical and horizontal are straight which is also good
3) It's off center which can work, but you don't have enough space on the left side which makes it feel squashed. Forget #3
4) I like how the edge of the arc is centered, maybe back the frame up so that you can keep that there while opening up the left side of the frame
5) The selective color on the red car isn't doing anything for me. It's in the bottom of the frame and it's just a car. The subject is the arc so if anything should be selectively colored it's the arc.
6) Same problem as the Place with traffic. Traffic sucks. Cars are usually ugly and distracting unless they're the subject. Pedestrian traffic is sort of the same way. This more or less reinforces my conviction that high traffic land marks should be shot at night with a long exposure.

I should emphasize again. The angle of the Arc is great, I really like how it contrasts the side facing the sun with the side pointed away.

Maybe some lens correction to make the lines parallel but it's not really necessary.

I feel the composition is good but I would have liked to see the arc slightly more to the right its to centered for my liking. I also agree with cure the red car does nothing for me. I think you have a great picture with everything in b&w but minor adjustment to the arcs placement would look even better in my opinion

Thanks for your comments, I chose this car because it is emblematic for the brand, it is a Fiat 500, that's why tired to highligth it, but as you are mentioning it is not relevant for the pic, but the arch by itself
