Sorry for the last post. Forgot to say that any feedback - positive and negative would be greatly appreciated.....

RTFR PLEASE!

I like the scene, but it comes across as a weak "selective color image". I think I'd probably prefer it full color or B/W.

Ditto. The blue is a little awkwardly placed and there isn't a full reflection of it in the water so it isn't even balanced.

I would go b/w or desaturate the blue until it isn't as noticeable.

Nice shot, I agree with the others. This would look stronger as a B&W, also the horizon drops down on the left and needs to be straightened.

Take a moment, read the guidelines and include the information you missed. Thank you

In most photo processing programs there's a slider for color saturation.

Usually, you want to put the horizon in the center of the image if you want to emphasize a reflection/symmetry, but I don't think you should in this case. Also, the horizon is tilted. I find the dark dirt on the left distracting. It's a nice scene, but I feel like the pier leads me to...nothing. It would be different if you had a cool sunset in the background. I think it would help if you had a lone figure at the end of the pier.

I'll echo the comments about the blue being a bit out of place, but you're well on your way to a nice photograph. The pier leads my eyes to those nice clouds. There's a lot to like about this shot.
