Default New York City Skyline from Bridge

Bridge-Flickr

I need some opinions on this picture. Does this picture work? Is the cropping okay? I cropped a little bit on the top to eliminate most of the bar (you can see at the top right of the picture) that holds the guide wires. It the bar looked out of place and the composition with the car, looked better.

Do you like the picture overall? Any suggestions to improve this picture would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for looking at my picture..

I like the way you've used lines in this image. They give it some extra energy and keep the viewer's eye moving. I also think you did a good job with the black and white conversion. There does seem to be some distortion with the buildings seeming to lean toward the center. Perhaps because of the wide angle? Overall a good job! TFS!

Thanks Eileen. I think you're right. There is some lens distortion due to the wide angle lens I was using. I think there is something in photoshop I can use to correct this.

Thank you for your comments!

Personally i like it, i like how the left hand side are taller buildings dropping in size to the right but you follow the cables from the bridge up to the top of the big building on the right.

As said the buildings slightly lean into the centre but there are a number of ways you can sort that out pinching etc ...

TFS

I like it. Sort of gritty, busy and going off in all directions, which suits the setting very well. A lot of symbolism in that shot.
