I bought my camera about 2 weeks ago. Any insight on my composition and some of the post production would be outstanding. This is (I think) the best I can do for now, as I am still learning. So I wanted a kind of base line I guess to see where I came from for later on. Thank you all for you insight and I’ll continue lurking. This shot was taken from my recent trip to Japan.
Camera- Canon EOS Rebel T2i
Mode- TV
Shutter Speed- 0.3
Aperture- 11
ISO Speed- 100
I was using a slower shutter speed to try to get a more “flowy” look from the waterfall. I don’t know if it really made a difference in this shot though. I also wasn’t using a tripod, but a tripod is inaccessible to me at the present time because I’m living on a ship haha.

Wow. This shot really look fantastic. I also dream of having a Gazebo located at this very awesome spot. Most gazebos are designed with open spaces on all sides and short railings. This open space allows you to take in the view of the surroundings while relaxing inside the gazebo and this one was definitely a perfect spot. The camera and the shot was indeed so great!

It looks really great! I also dream of having a Gazebo at my place. This one suited perfectly on the place. It has a very nice ambiance, so refreshing and peaceful. That's one great thing of having a Gazebo. A gazebo has both practical and aesthetic benefits. It is an architectural monument that can be considered a piece of art and a functional area at the same time. Having a gazebo in your garden allows you to stay outdoors and relax even under the hot sun or during a rainy day. You can relax in a gazebo as you take a break from a long afternoon of gardening.

Nice job with a hand held shot at a slower shutter speed. The focus seems a tad soft, I bet camera shake is the culprit.

I agree with the other posters about the crop. Take it in a little from the left and the top since the sky is not that interesting and adds a bright spot to draw the eye away.

I too feel it is too contrasty, back off it a bit and see what happens. For my personal taste the saturation is on the edge of too much.

Overall I like the shot. Keep at it. You could have thought about bumping the ISO to 400 or even 800 and gained some shutter speed.

Nice shot. I don't mind the crop. To me, the image has two possible subjects that are competing for my attention - the gazebo and the waterfall area. I would prefer it if one was definitely the primary subject.

Also, I would get a polarizer if I were you. It's good for reducing glare off non-metallic surfaces (like water and gazebo roofs).
