So I don't know what I did wrong here. I can't really post my EXF data because it is 4 different photos bundled into one and honestly not sure which ones I used

Smaller Panorama

the right side is darker than the rest and I used the same settings or so I assume. I just held the camera and slowly moved left to right and went click click click click and so on. I crafted together a bigger one that shows downtown and the water more clearly but I am really frustrated about that dark area.

When shooting panoramas, it's really important to set your camera to Manual ("M") mode to fix the aperture, shutter, ISO, and other settings from shot to shot. In most camera modes, the camera will adjust one or more of these settings for each shot so that you get the best shot possible. This works great for individual shots, but it's definitely not what you want for a panorama. You should be able to see EXIF info on the original shots, if you still have them.

FYI, I just saw this thread on StackExchange. I use Hugin, and I like it a lot, but I hadn't realized that it's able to fix exposure differences across photos. This might be worth a shot if you want to salvage your panorama.

This is a great view. And I just drove through Independence yesterday. :-)

In landscape photography, when you shoot is more important than where you shoot.
