Default Misty morning at the lake

Not too happy with the sky. Did some color correction already to help with the leaves. They came out kind of drab, but it seems to be, I either lose the colors or the sky goes white. It WAS foggy outside, but it was early morning. It wasn't THAT white...at least as I recall.

EXIF:
1/15
f22
iso 200
canon t1i ef 18-55 zoom
"daylight" WB and "landscape" style.

I'm sure you could add some color to the sky if you add a layer just for that. I think the tree colors came out pretty well. I'd almost consider zooming in a bit on this -- you don't need the big expanse of sky (especially if it's not doing anything special for the photo), and you'd be able to avoid some of the scud near you in the water. Nice spot for a photo.

Good candidate for a graduated neutral density filter. You won't need much...just a stop or so. That will definitely help the color. Also, try using the "shade" white balance setting. The daylight setting is actually a very cool setting. Shade is much warmer and will pull out the pink tones. If you shot in RAW, it's easy to change.

Hope that helps!

Yes - shot in RAW. Will try playing with the WB again. Thanx for the suggestions
