I like the mood of the mash. You did a good job with the exposure and capture of the fog, but I find the foreground quite distracting. Might be better if it were converted to B/W.

Yeah, without knowing your specific question, I'll just post my own reaction. I would have stepped (or zoomed) in closer to just get that fantastic water scene in the background. Those logs sticking up out of the water would have made a fantastic focal point for this scene. I agree that the foreground looks out of place. Hope you can make it back here under similar conditions some time!

I'm going to go against the grain here, I really love the way the foreground colours show up against the misty marsh. While I agree getting shot without the foreground would be great too, I think you've done well bringing an interesting view on the usual misty scene. The grasses in front seem to be of a different world than the rest, but the little bit of another bank you caught on the right hand side re-itterates the colour and brings it together for me.

Im with Vern. I like the colour in the foreground, it gives a real 'life and death' kind of look about it and gives the illusion that the dead trees behind the fog are floating in space. However the patch of bank on the right doesn't help the illusion but i like the shot

Interesting....... did you create this scene with two seperate shots? Love the marsh, but I'm just not sure about the foreground. Maybe if it was toned down a bit, it would look a little more natural.

Thank you for all the feedback. Really new to photograpy. Bought alot of equipment. Now i need to learn how to use it. I added some exif info. The list of info for the picture on flickr was long. Learning to use this site is harder than learning to use this camera. I will get good at them both. Thanks again. ( ps. ) didn't really think about the shot. Just clicked.
