Default Bombay muncipal corporation

This is the first picture i clicked on my new t2i. Used the auto mode as I'm not familiar with dslrs yet. File format was jpeg not raw. I want to know how I could have composed it better. Somehow I'm not happy with the colors too, what settings can be used to glorify the brown of the building and the yellow of the taxis? Also is it better to use RAW than using jpg?

I like the way you composed it. I agree with you that it needs a little saturation added. Do you have software? If not you can bump your camera a little using your "style" settings. I have a 7D and I believe your camera is very similar to mine. The argument over raw vs jpeg is a long one. I shoot raw when I'm trying to be artistic. I use jpeg when I'm just shooting a birthday party, family get together etc. Hope this helps and someone else will be along with some more suggestions....

Thanks for the suggestions DelCan. I downloaded gimp, which is an open source program quite similar to photoshop. I will try to add some saturation as suggested and post back. And I think I'll follow your trend, raw for artistic and jpg for general photography

I think I like this one. I saturated the master a bit, and blues slightly. Cleaned up the ugly wire too
