Actually, I think this would have been better with more of the room detail showing. That would probably require combining a couple exposures.

I think that it should have had clearer lines ... the bulky stuff in the lower left seem to detract from the crisp angularity of the shot.
Then higher contrast in the clouds to give them more depth perhaps?

I think it has a lot of potential. Work with the same setting a little and see what you come up with. I agree that it would help to clear the windowsill and keep the geometry simple.

Again, I'd agree with the others here - clear the windowsill. I'd also be tempted to close the window to keep the lines consistent.
However, I do like the contrast between the dark room and the sky - it really makes the clouds stand out.

Okay, I'll be the a-hole here. I just do not find that shot of the clouds through your window that interesting. It's an interesting concept, but there is nothing distinctive about the clouds that holds my interest. If you could see the sunrise/sunset, that would be another thing. I agree with the other comments about eliminating distractions, but this image just has a casual snapshot feel to it for me instead of a planned shot where you gave a lot of thought to what you wanted to accomplish.
It's difficult to pull off a great shot with non-sunset clouds as the subject. Here is a good thread on shooting clouds. Navcom has some good points: Cloud Shot - Composition and Settings Hope that helps, even though it may not have been what you wanted to hear...
