Default First Night Shots

Hi All,

This is my first attempt at taking a night shot, this is a photo og Bath's Abbey. Any tips / improvement are very welcome (please be kind, i have only had a SLR for 1 month!)

Hi, Rich -

Welcome! I've been to that cathedral - thanks for the nice flashback!

A few comments, in no particular order:

With the blurred car lights, I like the red tail lights, but the white head lights on the left don't work for me. They make the light trails too busy. I know it's hard to capture a photo like this without one solitary car screwing it up, but with patience, it can be done.

I don't think the building on the right adds anything. Maybe crop the photo just to the left of the first post on the curb?

For the flag on the top of the cathedral - is all of the flag in the original? If so, it might help to add that back in.

Focus and depth of field look good. And it's a great scene, too.
