Default Ground photography and focus

I took this shot and am not happy the way it turned out.

When I took the shot I thought all was in focus as you can see it's not.

How can gt the whole shroom in focus not just the Cap? I've included the exif data to se eif perhaps I have some setting not correct.

ExposureTime - 1/20 seconds + FocalLength - 35.00 mm = camera-shake, I would guess.

Plus an aperture of 4.5 won't give you the DOF you want.

If you were shooting from 1 foot (0.3M) away then (extrapolating your exposure)

1/5 @ F22 & ISO 800 will put you in the ball park with a DOF of approx 2"
You will need to be on a tripod.

Online Depth of Field Calculator

as gazsus says, camera shake when shooting hand held close ups can be a real problem,

Yes, I don't know if it's camera shake or focus, but something, even if it's just a small part of the mushroom needs to be sharp. A tripod would definitely help. With nothing sharp, it's a failed image.
