What do you mean by too shiny?

I like it. The sky looks to be slightly overexposed, but that could easily be fixed in post-processing.

I really like the photo and the silhouette.

The sky is blown so, here is my quick version of PS processing of your ship:

Ship-1

In Lightroom, adjusted white balance, recovery, and right on down the workflow line.

Curves adjustments along with saturation and luminance. Reduced noise.

Clouds still have a little moiré. You can fix that on the high-res original.

i like this shot of yours. composition is good and i like the way the ships were silhouetted.
did you process this? because the sky is magenta but the space between the masts of the ship in the center and some spaces in the ship on the left is white.

I didn’t use a preset, Benny. I adjusted the white balance and went down the Lightroom workflow in the Develop module until I got what looked good to me. The best way that I know of to experiment in Lightroom is to pull the sliders to either extreme—left & right. That way you can clearly see what each slider does and how it affects your photo.

If you do not like what you have done then simply reset and start over. Make a couple of digital copies and try different processing on each one. Print them out in sRGB colour space @ 300 ppi and compare.

Here is a LR tutorial page: Control The Processing Of Your Exisiting Images In Lightroom 3 — Photoshop Lightroom 3 Tutorial | PhotoshopSupport.com
