Default Wisconsin Fall Colors

This is an image I took while on a trip up the Kettle Maraine Scenic Route in Wisconsin. This was tone mapped using photomatrix. Any C & C welcome.

EXIF info:
Camera - Sony DSLR-A300
Focal Length - 18mm
Exposure - 1/250 at f/3.5
ISO speed - ISO 100

I am wondering if the colors look good, overall exposure is right or if anyone has any other critique of the picture.

I really like the composition. I'm still thinking about the colors. lol

It might be slightly over-processed, but that is a matter of individual likes and dislikes.

On the positive side, I like the basic composition and colors. On the negative side, the image seems to be leaning to the left and the focus is soft. I'm curious why you used such a large aperture on this shot when I would think you would want a lot of DOF.

I actually forgot to change the aperture.

I like the composition, but it does seem to be a little soft. Maybe it's the saturation, or my eyes, but the tops of the trees seem to have a hint of motion blur. I might have taken it into LR and lowered the yellow saturation.
