Experimenting with motion images of breaking waves and post processing techniques.
Does this image 'work' ?

It almost works. Strictly my opinion, but I think a shot like this needs something within the frame that is in sharp focus, i.e. the rocks.

The moderators will probably zing you for the size of the above example. Their rules specify a maximum pixel size so that the photos do not blow out the margins within the web page.

I definitely agree with Michael, if the rocks were in focus it would be a better photo. As far as the motion of the water I think you captured that.

Please take a look at the critique forum rules for what is required when posting in the critique forum. We really need your EXIF data for a shot like this so we can make a better critique to help you get the results you want.

I agree with the others...it appears out of focus. This might be due to either actual focus or any number of other issues...EXIF data would really help us here...focal length, aperture, shutter speed...all can contribute to depth of field and focus issues.

Did you use a tripod?

I agree with the others. My eyes keep searching for something/anything in focus...
