Default Shot From The Lake District

Picturesque valley in the lake district, i have done a small amount of pp, sky transplant due to washed out (highlights beyond repair), levels, burned the brown part of the mountains.

i am not happy with this but im not sur where to go form here to help develop this picture further, can someone give me an idea please

ps i have a new monitor so if its too bright / dull please say i tried to do this with the histogram but im not too sure the true colours yet.

I tried this on your image and it did give the colors more "pop." I only tried setting the white and black points, as the grey is harder to find.

I have adjusted the skyline, levels and colour in areas, is there any more i could do to help this shot? does the mountain / skyline edge look too sharp? have i improved the shot or have i made it too dark? the browns on this monitor ping out of the back mountain but the greens look a tad too dark for the shot ...

any more help appreciated.
