Default New Orleans street scene

I took this sitting in a little oyster bar on Royal Street, when the view out the door caught my eye. The original is color, but there were only a few bits of bright color in the scene anyway, and I thought the little-bit-of-blue-here, little-bit-of-yellow-there was distracting. What do y'all think? Also, what do you like best to frame a scene?

You didn't ask any specific questions but I will comment that B&W is probably the best look for this photo. The doorway framing the scene is a very nice composition. I'm not sure if it is back in full swing since the devastation of Katrina but I will say that the image you posted is very different from everytime I have been there. Evening time on that same street in the 80's would be practically wall to wall people.

A quick FYI... Read the giudelines for posting in the critique section. The mods ask that you include in your image the EXIF data and a specific detail that you seek critique for.

Yeah, I have not spent any time in NuAwlins post-Katrina, but this does look particularly barren.

Nice shot and it lends itself to B&W very well.
