Default Longest Bridge

This weekend I was away for a wedding and I got the opportunity to drive across the world's longest bridge over ice-covered water. I took a few pictures and I was looking for some critiques. This is the best one I shot:

My questions are:
1. Is this an interesting shot, or does it look like every other bridge picture out there? What could I do/have done to set it apart from the rest?
2. I wanted to show the length of the bridge (12.9 kms or 8 mi), did I achieve this?
3. How does the PP look? I played around a little with crops and added some shadows to darken it a little. The colour is pretty much sooc. The sun was setting and it cast an orange colour on a normally grey bridge (which I really liked).
4. Any other suggestion you have are greatly appreciated TIA
