Hey there -
I like this shot quite a lot. If I had to find one thing that bugs me a bit, it would be that the subject seems to blend in too much to the background. Granted, your focus has dropped off dramatically, but I think that with the colors being so close to the same, the image lacks contrasting elements (I don't mean contrast). Not sure if you're going for a more artistic result or realistic, but it might look cool to do the background in BW and keep the subject in color. andrew

Overall a good picture, although I think the background is too busy. Maybe 4ndrew's idea of b&w background would help that.

I'm with the 'background too busy' crowd. You have nice subject placement, but the out of focus background just seems a little too harsh. I wonder if that's a characteristic of that particular lens and it's design. Usually, soft, blurred backgrounds are not so jagged. Did you do anything to the shot in post?
