I was on a date with a girlfriend years ago and we stopped into the Marriott Hotel in Atlanta to use the restroom. I was waiting in the lobby noticing what was above me. I pulled out P&S and laid it on the ground facing straight up. I know its a little off center but wondering what you guys think about the photo

I like the art aspect that is coming out of this picture. I am not a pro with comments but for me the off-centre is compensated by the red "thing" hanging from the seeling. Good shot.

I think with that perspective and lack of DOF, it looks more like an abstract shot instead of a landscape one. I usually don't take many abstract shots, but I like the repeating pattern of the gold walkways and how it draws me into the image. Because of that, I find the red curvy things distracting. My 2 cents...

When I first read your comment, I thought you were in the restroom putting the camera on the floor. I was thinking you were one brave soul! lol
I like it, but I like abstracts accidentally created by the repeating patterns in man made stuff. |
