The slightly crooked wall is a bit distracting.
There needs to be slightly more dark blue at the top, to balance the darkness at the bottom. The top of the building has a halo. Apart from that, I really quite like it! ...and for some reason, I need a Coke. edit>>>>>>>>> I had a poke around with your shot - hope you don't mind ![]() Shooting against the sun is really difficult - when I do it, I use a tripod, take lots of shots at greatly differing exposure times to get the sky correctly exposed and get the shadow detail - and patch them together in post (post-shoot processing). The tripod ensures that they line-up perfectly. Theoretically you could do the same with a "string tripod" and "auto-exposure bracketing" if you don't need too much dynamic range and you have a really steady hand.

Thanks for all the feedback I really appreciate it, this old store and three other structures are all that remains of "Chinatown" in Delano, CA. The whole area was demolished and a path cleared to make way for a Walmart that was scheduled to open in 2007. To this day nothing has been build and only a couple of buildings are left, slowly collapsing on there old wooden foundations.
Heres the EXIF data I forgot to include. (newbie mistake) f5.6 ISO 100 1/60 Thanks again for the feedback. |
