So i took this picture in late fall of last year. It was a day i was feeling pretty down so i decided to go for a walk. I stumbled across this bench and I dont know exactly what it is about this picture but i really like it. Everything just looked so perfect and calm at the time when i took it.

I like those kind of b/w-shots with high contrast.
Here you have caught a beautiful time of day and light. Specifically, the light from the low sun created beautiful shadows and more interesting lines from the trees, which lead the eye nicely through the frame. Greetings Martin

I like this shot... but don't like the angle you took it at. If you took the shot more down at the level of the bench (still including the whole bench) you would of been able to include a lot more scenery. The trees look chopped off to me. So basically i mean getting the POV of the bench.

IMO, the high angle here is what makes this shot interesting. I know what the tops of trees look like, I don't need to see them. The empty bench and the open, leaf covered ground are what this photo is all about.
I agree with the above comment that it somewhat soft/out of focus. |
