This is Ocean Beach in New London CT. One of my favorite spots as a kid... especially because of the vanilla ice cream cones
Anyways all critiques and suggestions are welcome. This is my first photo im posting on here so please be honest in your critique. Also, if anyone has any suggestions on how i can bring out the texture and detail of the building in photoshop or lightroom... please share! ![]() Please also take a look at my data. Suggestions again are welcome! EXIF: 1/1600 f/4.2 ISO 200 26mm No Flash Last edited by sabrina860; 09-22-2010 at 02:04 AM. |

no replies? is it that bad or not worth critiquing? I just would like to know about the composition and if there is a strong enough subject? I'm not new to photography, but im looking into it more seriously. So any help or criticism is appreciated.

When I say the line leads nowhere, I mean it doesn't draw the eye to anything. It starts out of nowhere and leads nowhere.
I think for this location I would have got in close to the building, shot it from different angles (including low down against that blue sky), and shot some of the details (like the ice cream mosaicy thing and those coloured tables).
