I took this recently while on holiday in Lamu (Kenya), and wondered if people would be able to make any comments. I was quite pleased with them but I'm a beginner so still trying to work out how to look critically at my photographs.

I like the level of detail in the boat.
I too would clone out the bit of cloud though; I guess that means I must be OCD too. ![]() Nice shot! andrew

First, have you done any pp? As it is, I believe it's a beautiful shot either way.
For me, I ask my self, what was there? What was I seeing that made me want to push the button? If you wanted to, you could insert a clown on the boat if you thought it might do something. But to what end? Develop like you're in the dark-room, adjust contrast, saturation and all the things you can after the button was pushed. Clone and remove sparingly.... Just my own Junk! P

I think it's a very nice image. The only thing I would recommend is that if you take very many that are as good you should get an account on a photosharing site. Then we could go to the site and see a larger size of your photo. It's sometimes difficult to assess the image when it fits the size guidelines for posting on the forum.
