Default photo walk

A walk around town and took this picture. I can take a picture but would love to learn to take a photograph, if you know what I mean..

Cool statue to take a shot of.

Was there a reason you took the shot from the rear instead of the front of the birds?

Did you know that if you face North (at least here in the US) the sky is a deeper blue?

I would have cropped it tighter to keep the trees on the left out.

A shot like this I probably would have taken shots from 4-5 different angles to see what you end up with.

I understand how you want to take photographs. This forum is a great place to learn. Just put in the effort and the practice and before you know it you'll be taking photographs.

The best advice I can give is to not worry about what type of equipment that you have until you learn at least the basics of photography. Better gear doesn't mean better pictures. Trust me, I know. Save yourself time and money and learn the art first. You'll know if and when you're ready to upgrade. Good luck and have fun. It's a very rewarding hobby/career to have.
