here is a picture taken in my hometown.. my question is: using any post-photography techniques, can I make the rainbow brighter?

Nice colors and foreground and I agree with Recurrent that the sky might be better with a little "pop." Is that a faint double rainbow?
I think windrider wants you to ask more specific feedback questions. Greg

I love the rich colors of your image, especially the green grass in the right side of the image. Nice job capturing the rainbow as well! However, the shot seems to be a little off balance, as there is not enough subject matter on the right half of the image to lead the eye around. The viewer's eye goes up the trail and drops down the rainbow, but then what does it do? You have the entire right side open, and empty space is not usually a bad thing but it generally can't be separated down the middle.
Maybe repositioning the camera viewpoint so that the rainbow falls a bit to the right of left would help make the shot a little bit stronger.

Thanks to Lee - Levels: Getting the Professional 'Pop'
This is so easy, anyone can do it. The only tricky part is finding the gray point. I didn't even try that on your image. I only set the white and black points and that helped. Greg
