Default Nighttime, first HDR

This was one of my first HDR attempts I have done with a single image. I thought the color turned out wonderful. But I was wondering what you think of the angle? maybe some tips on the toning? I don't have an SLR yet (hope that changes in about a week) So this was done on a point and shoot. with a 7 second exposure an ISO of 64, and Ap. I think was around 4. The Exif info should be tagged. It doesn't have that I used photomatix to merge the 3 images together. I used photoshop to modify the exposures, and to make the image a more manageable size for posting online.

great looking picture. maybe once you get your SLR you can try shooting it again with a smaller aperture and get the starburst effect on those lights. The purple lighting looks awesome.

Thanks I was wondering how I could get that effect. I'm getting way to excited for the new camera. Should be getting it in about a week. The manual settings for my camera didn't give me much for apeture settings kinda lame, because the camera actually takes some really great pictures for being a point and shoot. I'm going to keep that in mind.

I like this shot, the purple really stands out.

The only suggestions I'd have is to try and angle the bridge alittle more so that you only see purple. Not sure if the other half of the bridge has purple lights on it, but if it does then try and get them in, if not, then move more so that end is hidden.

I have a few that were like that. I took a lot of pics that night. That was one of my favorites.

This one here is another I got at the same time. I just used photomatix to add the HDR effect. Brought the saturation way down. (The original photo had a lot of color in it do to the bridge lighting.)

In about a week I should be getting my SLR, can't wait. Think I'm going to get the Canon SXi. the T1i and T2i aren't worth the extra money to me, sense I'm not interested in video lol
