Ok I am trying to get through a “relearning curve,” but wanted to see what advice you guys might have for the next time. This is one of my first attempts at a night photo like this.

hmm the photo is a little small. Do you have a bigger version as well?
Other tips I could give you are: - The aperture is a bit wide for landscape (especially at 55mm) Try to set it at /f 11 or even f/22 to get the whole image in acceptable focus. - If you use a tripod: just drop the iso to 100 a go for a long exposure shot. Either way. That sky looks really great and I like the exposure.

Blasted gremlins. This is the proper photo and large. I have three, but this one is the better of them. This was the first time I have tried a serious landscape in the dark. I am hoping when my new laptop arrives I can work it a little in photoshop.
I think you are right ISO 100 and f/11 would have give me much better detail, but I was overly concerned about the night photo. I thought I was going to get back there on the second night, but go figure something came up and prevented me from getting back. Cappadocia night large | Flickr - Photo Sharing!
